A way to master this "power"

Windows XP Tip: Pressing WIN+D will hide all open windows and show you the desktop. (Press WIN+D again to restore the hidden windows.)

I don't think I have a "superpower", but when I lost a thing (wallet, credit card, pencil) in my "messed up" room, I just try to imagine the object and visualize it in my room. After that, I get a red signal (something I decided to be) of the location of that object.

So... lately this signal had increased it's accuracy. normally is hard to find that one signal (a red point of my visualized room in my mind). but now, is beginning to get that signal more easier, so I thought... "this isn't a power...is it?", but I didn't care at first... it wasn't big deal to have this power.. just a little too... convenient when I want to find something.

But.. yesterday I tried something... I told my little brother to hide something from me. Then, when I "activated" my "skill" to find that object... I didn't get one signal... but more than 12 signals.. one larger than the other.

So.. what's this? and is there a way to eliminate those other signals errors?

PS: I didn't find the object.. is still hidden, by some reason, it tires me to visualize the entire room. and... don't want to search every 12 signals where could it be. so far 3 signals... and failed.
