Real Super Powers

Super people make super countries. Just as there was a nuclear arms race in the past, so too was there a race for super powers. One of those powers was the ability to astral project, which is also referred to as remote viewing. There was a Stargate Program in operation to that very end. This program had nothing to do with the "Stargate" movie or T.V. shows. Psychics were used to try to gather information on places and things without ever using direct contact. The program is now said to be shut down, the reason being that the results produced were too unreliable.

Despite the apparent failure of the Stargate Program, the simple fact it existed proves that the government wants you to get super powers. If you were a reliable telepath, or if you had some other extraordinary ability, you'd be very useful in a variety of situations. You'd become an important resource. If word spread about your talents, you just might find yourself being recruited for a job with the CIA.

So despite the fact that some people might shrug and say, "Super powers? Ain't gonna happen," the government is in your corner. Go get powers, and then report for duty at 08:00!
