Real Super Powers

This is just a few of the most widely known super powers, organized according to their likelihood of being achieved or becoming viable in the near future. Their viability is based more on historical accounts and less on scientific proof, since most of these abilities have yet to satisfy the most skeptical disbelievers.

More Promising: Precognition, Clairvoyance, Telepathy, Telekinesis, Retrocognition, Rapid Learning, Rapid Healing, Super Strength, Manipulation, Super Endurance

Less Promising: Super Speed, Shape Shifting, Matter Penetration, Self-Division and Reunification, Weather Control, Body Swap, Energy Leeching

You might recognize some of the less promising powers from various works of fiction. They're fantastic to explore and see utilized, but do seem to have a larger gap separating them from reality than the ones above. However, it seems likely that science could help to bridge that gap.

Perhaps a network of weather control machines will one day exist. Maybe a body swap could be possible through the use of completely prosthetic bodies. Such incredible possibilities exist within science and technology that it seems folly to write off certain abilities as, "Never gonna happen." For the time being, though, some abilities seem to hold more potential for use in the near future than others.
