Kyle XY is a television show about a teenager named Kyle who wakes up in the woods with no memories, and proceeds to learn how to fit in with society in record timing. He learns extremely quickly, and in about a week is a fully functioning person. Given that his original mental state was effectively that of a newborn, his progress is quite impressive.
As the series unravels, it is revealed that Kyle is really a clone. Adam Baylin, the man from which Kyle had been cloned, was a genius. This was accomplished through science. When his mother was pregnant with him, she had been treated to extend her pregnancy. The extra time in the womb gave Baylin's brain time to develop beyond average human capability, into the realm of Einstein. In fact, Einstein was referenced as having an abnormally long "incubation" period in his mother's womb, and the heaviest brain on record. Baylin's extended "incubation" provided him with outstanding mental abilities. However, his mother died while giving birth to him.
To repeat this process without risk of killing another woman, an organization cloned Baylin, producing Kyle. Instead of having Kyle placed in a surrogate mother, they kept him in an artificial womb. No physical mother meant no time limit, so Kyle was incubated for about 16 years. This gave his brain so much time to develop that he is ultimately capable of using nearly 100% of his full mental faculties. This idea depends on the notion that most people are limited to using around 3% of their brains. That notion is considered fact by some, and a modern myth by others.
Kyle's powerful mind is what allowed him to learn how to live in days instead of years. He is a true genius, capable of perfectly learning pretty much any piece of information almost instantly, and storing it pretty much forever. Kyle learns that Baylin's original experiences with having a powerful mind caused him to neglect his body, and that neglect contributed to a less-than-desirable physical state. Kyle underwent physical training to strengthen his body and improve his mind-body relationship. Once that training was complete, Kyle became capable of performing amazing feats like jumping off of buildings and landing without injury.
Wikipedia says, "The human body is anywhere from 55% to 78% water depending on body size." Baylin taught Kyle that the water content of the human body can be harnessed through the mind. It can be polarized, and affect water outside the body. Kyle learns to move a glass of water across a table by polarizing the water in his body and interacting with the water in the glass. Kyle later learns to levitate above water, and bounce a polarization signal off a puddle in order to move another person.
Kyle can also heal quickly, and seems resistant to damage from things like fire.
Another character on the show is named Jessi. She may or may not be a clone, but has also underwent extended incubation, and so possesses similar abilities to Kyle. Both Kyle and Jessi have incredible strength. Jessi has demonstrated that she can walk on water, another use of water polarization. Kyle and Jessi can also read each other's minds, share memories, and at times "steal" information from one another. At one point, they both placed their hands over the wounded Baylin, and healed him while somehow emanating a bright light.
How "Kyle XY" Ties In With Reality
The basic premise behind Kyle, Jessi, and Adam's super powers are that they all come from the mind. Someone with a more powerful mind will not only be more intelligent, but according to the show they should be able to manifest the rarest legitimate superhuman exploits at will, as well as a few that don't appear on recent record. One interesting thing to note is that "Kyle XY" explains the acts of walking on water and interpersonal healing, which are considered by some to be two of the miracles performed by Jesus.
