How can you get super powers? Let's examine the possibilities. First off, you could be born with them, and have them from birth. You'd grow up each day learning more and more about how to control and best use your special abilities.
You could also be born with latent, or dormant super powers. Then at some point, maybe during your teen years, you wake up one day and discover that you've got a special talent that very few others have.
Let's think about how you'd get a super power if you weren't born with one, and didn't have one waiting to manifest. So you've got no powers, biologically speaking. Perhaps with advanced technology, you could manipulate your genetic code, and gain powers that way.
You could also manipulate your physical body using technology. Maybe you replace some parts with robotic counterparts that are far more powerful, like stronger arms and legs, or a heart that can pump enough blood to make you run faster and longer than everyone else.
Nanotechnology could be used to tweak existing muscles and tissues. You could rework all your muscle fibers and bones, making them far denser and more powerful than normal, giving you super strength.
Technology could theoretically be used to alter your mental capacities, increasing your intelligence, and perhaps giving you telepathic, precognitive, or telekinetic abilities.
Aliens from outer space could recruit you for a special mission, and unlock a secret power that is normally hidden and unused. Or they could endow you with special abilities that are perfectly normal to them.
Someone from the future could give you a magic elixir that gives you a unique ability.
A cosmic storm could sweep across the earth and irradiate you with a special ray that causes you to develop super powers.
Intensely stressful situations, like combat in a war, could trigger a change in you whereby you suddenly gain control over your five senses, and can see, smell, touch, taste, and hear with far more clarity, accuracy, and detail than before.
Humanity could reach a moment of transcendence, and everyone could wake up to a psychic network, a collective, in which we are all telepathic, and can draw upon the collective consciousness at any moment in time. You'd have instant access to all current human knowledge, making you and everyone else effectively omniscient.
You could go to a school for psychic training and learn to unlock secret powers that we all possess.
You could devote your life to spiritual pursuits, and at some point if you're lucky achieve an ascended state of being, at which point various super powers come into your possession.
You could upload your consciousness into a cybernetic body, effectively giving you the power of potential immortality. However, you'd bar any biological possibilities for ascending, should you consider that possible.
You could use nanotechnology to continually repair your cells and tissues, effectively giving you the power of biological immortality. At some point, a normal cell can no longer divide, and without a workaround solution, you'd likely die at around 120 years of age. However, cancer cells can divide indefinitely, and if that ability were to be harnessed and replicated where necessary in normal cells, you could theoretically go on living forever.
Existence in the afterlife may include super powers in everyone.
If the universe were really a simulation as depicted in "The Matrix," and you woke up to that fact, you might be able to become practically omnipotent.
Maybe we've all got them, but there's a limit put on humanity that will be lifted in the near future, at which point a select few people will be able to fly, read minds, etc. After them, the rest of humanity will discover the abilities that were formerly off-limits. Super powers for everyone!
Maybe powers can be unlocked by anyone. Its posssible because I've done it.

ok...im not reli sure if this is a power... but sometimes wen i think of something, later tht day it happens. for example, today i was walking into tesco with my dad and was humming a song. i stopped humming, then the radio in tesco turned on and that song was playing...this happens every now and then. similar to this, if im thinkin abut an episode of a t.v show, eg: the simpsons, if i turn on the tv wen the simpsons is on, its that episode! i dunno wat it is...if this is a power...if it is could someone tell me how to improve it? please?

Wow you guys are really lucky... well,that is, if your being honest.
I don't think I have powers- at least they haven't manifested yet. I'm 13 and am well into puberty, so if they were dormant then I'd have expected them to have surfaced by now. There's things which some of you have said which have happened to me on occasion; like for example when I get really strongly emotional, I've gotten stronger or have increased stamina. I often get deja-vu. And I have a great memory when it comes to music- I can pick up the words to a song after only hearing it once, can easily translate tunes from instrument to instrument, have great natural rhythym and I like lots of different kinds of music.
I don't know if you could call these things powers, but I wish they were because I'd love to have powers. I've always been attracted to the paranormal side of life- from an early age I was interested in ghosts, I've gravitated towards people with similar interests to me without knowing about them. I've read loads about Pagan Magicks and have lots of books about paranormal things. I've even tried training my psychic powers (I believe that everybody has the ability to be psychic, its just some aren't aware of their potential).
Maybe someone could help and tell me whether his is anything significant ;)

It seems like alot of people have "super powers" but i am not so sure i think alot of people are roleplayers. So i am not here to say i have a super power/ability but i am here to tell you something that has left me wondering for many years!!
Well when i was 18 months old we moved to alice springs in Australia. My mum went to go see a fortune teller, but when she got there the man would not tell my mum her future. But once i was asleep he did. Now when she started telling me this i just figured that he was a load of c**p. But then she told me he described my brother and my sister down to a tee! And also informed my mum in 5 years from when my grandma was diagnosed she would die of cancer. My grandma did die in 5 years! This started creeping me out.
So then later on this year we went to Handorf near Adelaide. I was walking in a rather big crowd as it is super busy there. But then i felt a small force stopping me from walking, kinda like a mild wind. When the crowd disperced there was a fortune teller looking straight at me. I kept walking and shook it off.
So these occurences have sorta left me wondering why???
If any one has any ideas then go ahead i think it could possibly have a strong aura. Oh yeah im nearly 15 female and yeah. I meditate every day, as i find it relaxing and i alwayshave more confidence when i do. So im recomending everyone gives it a try :D.

Do I Have A Power?
Hi Im 12, and i think i might have a power of some sort! I dont know that i have one but i feel really special. I Always feel really Special and different to other people I always get really emotinal happy or sad or angry and when i do i feel like im the only one in the world, and its like theres something inside me coming up like its buildin up but it never comes out... i really want to discover this power i might have, i have a really strong Pyscic Conection with one of my friends and like i said i Feel Soo Special and Differnt i have always known that i am differnt first i thrt it might be something to do with witchcraft and stuff like that so i red up on that (that was when i was about 10) and i have been Looking everywhere for an explanation...

i found it out 7 years ago and i'm 15 now the best way i can think to tell u is the next time you feel that way consontrate as hard as u can and something is bound to happen be patent because it might not work the first time. i hope i helped.

most of us are born with these abilities and the rest of us had powers hidden away u kno remained dormant until a certin part in our life most when we hit Puberty i was born with my powers i have mediumship and psychometry
mediumship is the ability to see and talk with the dead
psychometry is the ability to relate details about the past or future of an object, person, or location usually by being in close contact with it
so what i can tell you is meditate daily(for like an hour) and work out alot because even thou it dosent seem like a power being at the peak of human potential is one, and can help you get better powers like super speed super strength etc. and the meditation will really help with it.

this is the ability to separate and control ones astral body you can do what u want and gon where u want just by thing about it you can be anywhere in the world with out leaving your room. Astral projection happens only when you sleep. Meditateing daily can help develope this power it's a great power have fun with it.

hey, im 14 and ever since iv been a little kid iv kinda got powers. when stuff is going really fast i can usually count each time it goes aroun.or if im on the highway and i pass the rails i ca count em. and im strong when the time comes to. fast when the tme comes too and iv got incredible reflexes. i can run really fast without making sound depending on were i am, example outside in the snow in my snowgear. i can usually see ghosts. and if i concentrate really hard i can make stuff happen example turn on my xbox. and when i dream its actually like im there example if i got hit by a car i would wake up with a bruise or an ache. and as im sleeping i can controll everything that happens. and while im sleepin before my alarm goes off i kinda know its gunna go off , like a weird feeling, or if smoone goes to push me in my sleep in my dream i could see the person run up and hit me at the exact time smone touches me. and sometimes whille i close my eyes i can see bits of peices of the futur. and i see these weirced things clled mandallas or w.e they form and it like it pulls me in the longer i concentrate it like im runnoing away from something. like roof falling and im trying to escape. i can control the way my vision is. example i can make it like 10-10 and then 20-20 in the blionk of an eye. and if concentrate long enough on a bottle of water the water inside startes to move.
Power or not? Need help
Whenever I get really angry I always get stronger, more brutal. But when I'm in a normal mood and I'm only half as strong maybe not even that as when I'm angry. Of course it's natural when someone gets angry to be more brutal and want to hurt them but are they supposed to get stronger at the same time? I'm thinking this is either just killer instincts or this is a power linked to an emotion. It's also really hard to get me angry enough to hurt someone, I mean REALLY hard. The last time I got that mad was months ago when I was throwing rocks at the railroad tracks and my dad made me really mad and I grabbed a rock and threw it at the tracks. It broke in half (these rocks are NOT easy to break) and made a massive spark on the tracks which I couldn't do before. Well I could make a spark but not as big as that one was. Is this a power or not?

hi my name is daniel and im 20 years old. Ever since i was little ive had the ability to make the weather change when i try extremely hard. Also ive also have the ablity to talk to animals and they understand me. if i tell them what do do they do it. Trust me im no crazy person im far from it lol i live a normal life without animals but when i come into contact with them i always talk to them. my weather abilitiy was notice to me when i was younger and i wanted snow so i didnt have to go to school and i consentrated and it came. I thought it was luck but i kept trying and everytime i wanted the weather to change it did.

uh hi. im 14... and as much as i do believe in superhuman powers... i just cant accept that i have one. i dont think i was born with it, but i can feel people's emotions. thats called Empathy right? its actually really cool. i dont mind it. its kinda weird at times though...
i'll give an example:
well i have this friend and her grandpa has been in the hospital for the past week. the day after he was put in the hospital i knew something was wrong with her. to make a long story short she was sitting there in class looking down at her paper doing work, but i didnt even have to look at her to know something was wrong. i whispered to her and asked "whats wrong?" she looked a little confused but then began telling me about her grandpa.
situations like this happen ALL the time. i always know when my mom had a bad day at work. i can always tell if a friend is hurting inside. i also know when someone is really happy. and i never really had to practice this 'power'- it was just always there. oh- and if you're thinking about the movies- no i dont personally feel the other person's emotion. i just kinda feel the vibes. haha that sounds so stupid!!

I know what you mean, i have some similarities with myself and some either people on thius site. I may be crazy, we all maybe crazy, but oh well. Before I start, i'm not some creepy nerd like some of these guys probably are. I'm 16, 6'5'', and love sports. I was kinda confused about it for a long time, but like you i 'feel' the emotions of other people. Its like I can sense another persons 'life force' almost. (Don't worry i'm not one of those hippy spiritual people.) The simplist explanation is that, I can make another persons strength my own. All their emotions, and feelings, strengths and skills. When i'm around them I can do them to. It seems to work more effectively when i make firm physical contact first. The time it takes to wear off varies. I haven't told anyone about this, not even my girlfriend. I hope this helps :)

hi i am 11 years old and ever since i turned 10 when i moved to new zealand i always saw a black figure about twice my size for just a second or so and when i see it it is always in a running motion. i can speak to dogs, cats, pigs, horses, and some other animals. i also feel really hot most of the time even in winter and when it snows. i can stay in really cold whether or snow for long periods of time. ever since i have seen a computer for the first time i always had this strange knowledge of how to do things on it even when i havent done them yet or have any knowledge about it. i am not sure if any of these are powers or not but i sure hoppe they are. oh by the way some times i feel like i am ment to meet someone in human form but not a human although this feeling is strong at times when i am next to a new person in my class the feeling goes bizurg and i cant control it. i find it hard to ask out a girl that i like for some reason but i am a really good lier and get an innocent person in trouble for somthing i did. it is wierd at times and for some reason my teacher never yells at me in class. i am in year 8 if that helps. i can also pass any test or exam w/o any study for it. i am the youngest in my class but i turn 12 in april. if any 1 can help me please email me at dontgot1@live.com
