When I saw the category, "How to Change the World", I saw many ways rather than the traditional, "Using your abilities to fight crime." or whatever.
Whereas I could definitely do that simply by reading book after book, and watching movie after movie on martial arts, (then I'd pretty much be Bruce Lee, lol), I thought of several other ways I could make a difference besides the traditional way.
1. I could Learn about third world countries, and find the weak points as well as the strong points, and then I'd be better equipped to carry out small, seemingly pointless, missions that would have a ripple affect on a much more drastic scale.
2. I could Learn the United States Laws within every single state, and then that way I'd be better equipped to work within the loopholes as to carry out my plans.
3. I could Learn psychology and provide help for countless individuals in school, despite my young age so that they would have someone that is closer to their age to talk to about their emotions, and thus making the weightload that is their adolescence less severe, and therefore decreasing the probability of them dropping out and getting hooked on illegal drugs, going to prison, and getting buttfucked by some guy named bubba in Cell Block 8.
And...well, there's tons of things I could learn, and there's tons of uses for them, and I guess my main point is, for all those who think crime-fighting is the best way to help, is that yes; crime-fighting is good, and noble, but there are OTHER issues that must be taken care of. Just to name a few: Child abuse, Abortion, Drug Abuse, Gang Activity, Gun Control, Global Warming, Alcoholism, Homelessness/Poverty, Suicide, Capital Punishment, Terrorism, Public Schooling Flaws, and Racsism. And that's a SMALL list. Many of you may be asking yourselves: What can I do about it? I'm just one person!" Well I tell you that you can do something. I'm just one person as well, and I can find a way to help with every single issue there, but in order for things to be more affective, we, as a planet, need to step up, and be rolemodels for what is good, and just, not only for the people around us, but for ourselves as well! So it's up to you; be a simple crime-fighter, or devote yourself to making a very real, and apparent difference within the world you now live in. Thank you. :)
there
has to be an enemy or whatever you call it because then the world would be boring viva la resistance
If everyone decided to do right
and did the small things, I believe the world would be much better, no abilities required. However humanity is too...human to do so.
good idea
good ideas but lets take it one step at a time lets better our abilities so we can help others and the planet
Agreed
He does have a good point, but let us know how to handle ouselves with pinpoint accuracy and control first.
This is great
