There have been a variety of firsthand accounts of encounters with super powers throughout the years. The idea of being confronted with a real super power has held less importance than the facts of the specific incident, which was often categorized according to the individual process involved (telepathy, telekinesis, etc.), rather than as involving a super power.
Michael Crichton, well-known author of books such as Jurassic Park, graduated with top honors from Harvard College, and earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. His writings on both fact and fiction have garnered widespread praise, and in the past he has received the Association of American Medical Writers Award. It can be gathered from this that his factual writings and firsthand accounts can be taken very seriously.
A non-fiction book by Crichton from 1988 called Travels contains his eyewitness account of telekinetic activity. The following passage is from pages 319 and 320 of Crichton's Travels:

Telekinesis is a little difficult.
Telekinesis requires absolute focus, diligence, patience and strong belief. All objects around you have to be one with you. More than one, only an extension of yourself. When first attempting TK, what you're truly trying to do is calibrating your sensitivity to objects and gathering that strength to flex that muscle or rid of that atrophy that you have that is preventing you from TK-ing. After that, you have to focus on the weightlessness and pure control of your body which will give you capability of enhanced strength, speed, and perhaps self propelled flight if you can sustain the energy to propel you through the air. This can be seen in WuXia and many internal martial arts.
If you are above 10 ft, be careful to sustain yourself because a fall is detrimental. But reaching high speeds will not harm you if you create a durable telekinetic shell which will become a natural inertia dampener and the shell should be able to help you breathe naturally if you reach high speeds. An oxygen filter if you will.
Teach Me Telekinesis
hi im 11 years old and i want to Telekinesis to can you tell me how?
Telekinesis
I have spent several decades in study of the powers of the mind.
What I have found is amazing, but you may be a little disappointed when it comes to Telekinesis.
First, let me define this for you, so we are on the same page.
Telekineses: The ability to move objects at a distance from yourself, or effect matter in a big , visible manner.
There is some validity to the idea of Telekineses, and even more ( for each individual person) in the idea of psychokinesis. (The ability of the mind to influence things outside of itself. These are normally little things, that you cannot see, and have to measure to make certain you are having an effect.)
With Telekineses the strongest effects seem to reliably take place in groups of people that are all focused on one goal.
So, twenty people trying to bend spoons in one place, at the same time will have many, many times the success rate of you or I sitting at home trying to do the same thing alone.
This does not mean that a single individual could not learn to produce a strong enough field to do things on their own, just that it is much easier for a group to do so.
Other mental powers may not be as cool, but you will have a much greater chance of really having control over them, if you practice enough and be very, very honest about your successes and failures.
It is better to know that you fail 90% of the time than to think you are successful 80% of the time when it is really more like 60%.
Try meditation first, holding a single focus. If you can stick with this for six months, then try moving some things that are easily going to shift about naturally, and see if you can learn to direct motions...Work up from there!
Good luck!
